'LEGALLY BLONDE,' MA
North Shore Music Theatre (Beverly, MA) is casting Legally Blonde. Arianna Knapp, artistic dir.; Bill Hanney, prod.; Nick Kenkel, dir.; Eric Alsford, music dir.; Carol Hanzel, casting dir. Rehearsals begin Oct. 18 in NYC & Oct. 26 in MA; runs Nov. 1-13, 2011 in Beverly, MA.
Seeking—Ensemble: male and female, 18-early 30s, all performers must be excellent dancers and must sing well.
Equity chorus calls will be held Aug. 23 at 9:30 a.m. (male singers who dance well), 11 a.m. (female singers who dance well), 2 p.m. (female dancers who sing well) & 4 p.m. (male dancers who sing well) at Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 Eighth Ave. (btwn. 36th & 37th sts.), 16th fl., NYC. Bring pix & résumés, stapled together. Singers, prepare 16 bars of a song in the style of the show. Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided, but may not transpose. Dancers, be warmed up and ready to dance when the call begins. Bring appropriate dance clothes and shoes; men bring sneakers and women bring sneakers and heels. Some may be asked to stay and sing after all have danced. Prepare 16 bars of a song in the style of the show. Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided, but may not transpose. $683 min./wk. Equity COST Contract.
